The graphics spotlight the history of silkscreen printing, synonymous with the printed tee: inspired by Japanese katagami stencil techniques, Englishman Samuel Simon developed and patented the process in Britain in 1907 — a technique where British and Japanese craft intersect. On this theme, the monochrome graphics foreground the silkscreen texture while translating traditional ukiyo-e into a digital expression of contemporary Japan.
