The history through which these crafts were nurtured is an accumulation of sincere ingenuity, dedicated to enriching daily life. They possess a beauty and cultural value that transcend mere manufacturing methods; we reconstruct these traditions by intersecting them with Brighton’s identity, tailored for the modern lifestyle.

現代のプリントTシャツに欠かせない「シルクスクリーン印刷」。
実は、日本の型紙を使った印刷技術にヒントを得て、1907年にイギリス人のサミュエル・シモンが特許を取得したことから世界に広まりました。この歴史的交流へのオマージュとして、まるで江戸時代に描かれたかのようなブライトンの浮世絵を、生活アイテムにのせて表現します。

Remarkably, this technique spread globally after the Englishman Samuel Simon was inspired by Japanese stencil printing methods and obtained a patent in 1907. As an homage to this historical exchange, we present Brighton-themed Ukiyo-e artwork—rendered as if from the Edo period—across a range of lifestyle products.
